- Connection with BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) thread, also known as "Whitworth".
- Reference standard: BS5200 - ISO 8434-6.
- BSPP males only couple with BSPP females.
- BSPP males have a cylindrical thread and a 60° flaring.
- BSPP females have a cylindrical thread and a 60° ogive.
- The female machine couplings have a cylindrical and laminated threading.
- The seal on the machine connection is achieved with an O'Ring or a soft metal washer on the male.
