  • The main characteristic of the brake fluid is to be hygroscopic, a term which indicates a tendency to absorb moisture.
  • Absorbing moisture through micropores present on pipes or through the seals, changes its main features, compromising the safety of the braking and then the driver.
  • Due to the presence of water the boiling point of the brake fluid is lowered by increasing the possibility of formation of vapor bubbles, which prevents operation of the braking system.
  • The increase of moisture also contributes to the formation of corrosion phenomena in the brake system.
